  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup chopped onions
  • 0.25 cup peas

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • In a medium pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add turmeric and salt, stir to combine.
  • Add rice and water, bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add peas, cover, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
